A living book about relationships that remember

The Social Stack

Friendship, Dating, Reputation, and the Infrastructure of a Social Life

Social infrastructure converts life from a sequence of high-variance cold starts into a stateful system in which reputation, trust, introductions, repeated exposure, and relationships compound.

A book, not a funnel

This is a systems guide for people who became technically or professionally competent without receiving the implicit curriculum of social life. Dating matters here, but as one downstream application of a larger system: the relationships, routines, institutions, and reputations that make an adult life less brittle.

Three levels of confidence

The book marks Evidence, Inference, and Hypothesis separately. Evidence records what a source or observation establishes. Inference proposes a mechanism that fits the evidence. Hypothesis identifies an idea worth testing. The labels are a promise not to smuggle confidence into the prose.

The architecture of the book

  1. Foundations — state, signals, opportunity, and compounding
  2. Signals — how value becomes socially legible
  3. Building the Graph — recurring places, bridges, follow-up, and hosting
  4. Dating as a Networked System — warm starts, channels, and healthy moats
  5. Maintaining State — reputation, repair, inherited policy, and life stages
  6. The Life That Compounds — principles and a practical operating cadence
